Genre
Genre is something else. Without knowing a genre you wouldn't know the uniqueness or creativity of a certain story. It brings life and a meaning to a story to give it not only feeling but make it stand out and give it attention. When you chose your genre you have to make your content within the story or writing to make it stand out and resemble something.
